Heroin is a powerful drug which cause strong dependence to the users who may using it. This heroin drug is processed from morphine which is a naturally occurring substance which is extracted from seedpod of certain varieties of plants which appear as a white or brown powdery substance.



The main reason why Heroin is highly addictive includes:
(1)On consumption of heroin the drug directly reaches to brain and affects those regions of the brain which are responsible for producing physical dependence. The effects of this drugs are so intense that it affects the decision making of your mind, reaction time the way one thinks and memory of the person.

(2)People consuming Heroin regularly develop tolerance against it. So if a person wants to get the same effect from the drug the user must have higher doses which in turn would lead to addiction. HIV/AIDS, violence and crime are all related to the use of heroin addiction.

The heroin consumptions effect on body is dependent on method of its administration. This drug can be taken orally in the form of morphine which would cross the blood brain barrier and has its effect within 10-15 minutes on injecting it directly into the vein.

On injecting it into muscles would have t effects within 5-8 minutes. If a person realizes that this drug addiction is affecting him and wants to get rid of the same it can be done. But the withdrawal symptoms for the same can be very dangerous.
Withdrawal can occur between few hours to 72 hours after and its symptoms include drug craving, restlessness, muscle pain, insomnia, diarrhea, vomiting, cold flushes etc.

A user trying to quit drug addiction must be aware of such symptoms which are likely to arise out of drug addiction.This heroin drug addiction is very terrible addiction. To come out of this addiction is even more difficult but can be achieved through hard work, support group and a proper treatment which requires pure determination by user.
